ROOT TREATMENT

The aim of root canal treatment (also called endodontic treatment) is to combat bacteria in root canals, their mechanical and chemical processing and tight closure of the root canal system.

The latter consists in removing the infected pulp, which is also known colloquially as the dental nerve; The affected root canal is then sealed and sealed against bacteria.
The prerequisite for a successful endodontic treatment is the appropriate cleaning of infected root canals, tight closure and restoration of the tooth.

Modern treatment methods that are practiced in our clinic and access to appropriate materials enable effective healing and tooth preservation, while at the same time shortening the duration of treatment.

HOW DOES IT WORK
ROOT CANAL TREATMENT FROM?

In our dental clinic, we value patient time, so in most cases we try to perform root canal treatment in one or two sessions.

However, the duration of treatment depends on the type of tooth, its structure and the diagnosis made. There are times when more complicated cases may require more sessions for treatment to be completed with success. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time

The procedure of the root canal treatment:

  1. Creation of the treatment plan on the basis of the diagnosis made (after the X-ray examination and anamnesis).

  2. Anesthesia and removal of the infected pulp from the tooth cavity and root canals.

  3. Analysis of the length of the channels and their thorough cleaning, mechanical and chemical processing.

  4. Bacteria-proof closure of the root canals with filling material based on gutta-percha.

  5. Control X-ray examination and final restoration of the tooth, observing all methods that guarantee correct durability, functionality and aesthetics.

With the help of the best tools that are used in our clinic, we are able to treat and save teeth that have often not been classified as worthy of preservation. Thanks to the precision with which our dentists work, the appropriate optical magnification aids and lighting, the treatment brings the expected results.

We also perform more complicated root canal treatments, such as removal of a broken root canal instrument or perforation closure.

The root canal treatment is always carried out under anesthesia and our entire medical team ensures the patient's well-being during the entire duration of the session.
